First Assignment

So I just found out where I’m going! I will be serving in Carregado for my first area (about 30 miles of Lisboa). I will be serving with Elder Barbosa from Cape Verde, Africa.

But that’s not the best part…. the best part is…..

HE KNOWS ABSOLUTELY NO ENGLISH!

Most people would think this is a bad thing. But I really am super excited! This is going to force me to learn the language now. It’s either I speak Portuguese or I don’t speak. How cool is that though?

I guess he already has 3 baptisms set up… so starting tomorrow afternoon, we are off to work! I hear he is an amazing missionary though. I will meet him tomorrow.

Send everything here for the next 2 years. This is the safest, and most reliable place to send it. It’s the missions PO Box. And since it takes a while for mail to get here, and we transfer often, that will be the only safe way of sending it.

Once again, I love you! I’m doing great and loving Portugal. My language is about to become much much better haha.
